The sun is shining, the grass is green...

...the orange and palm trees sway.
There's never been such a day in old LA.
But it's December 24th and I'm longing to be up north.
So I can have my very own white Christmas."

"We are the Mods"

This is one for the boys just as well as the girls. Mod style originated in London, England in the late 1950's and peaked in the early to mid 1960's. Mod culture is one of the most enduring subcultures to this day, music and fashion are still being influenced by the style worldwide. With artists such as 'The Who', 'The Small Faces' & 'The Kinks' youths were copying this inspirational style from head to toe on a daily basis. The Mod culture also highlighted 'Swinging London' and Carnaby Street was its home.

'The Who' - Icons of the Mod culture.

Quadrophenia. If you're a lover of anything Mod, then give it a watch. It's a personal favourite of mine.

To most, 'Mod' wasn't just a fashion style, it was a way of life.

Hair envy: bangs, bangs, bangs

I will most probably live and die in my full fringe. No other hairstyle seems to suit me, or appeal to me in the way a full fringe does. Most popular in the 1960's, bangs were a must have when it came to A-list style in the decade. Here are a few famous faces showing us just how good the full fringe can look!

Jane Birkin

Brigitte Bardot

Britt Ekland

Jane Asher

Julie Christie

Anna Karina

Stevie Nicks

Catherine Denevue

And my two personal favourite hairstyle inspirations...
