The 1960's were all about the eye makeup, the bigger and bolder the better! The rest of the face were clear and pale, whereas the eyes were the vocal point of the whole face. False eyelashes were almost a must to any essential makeup list if you wanted to be stylish. Twiggy was the iconic figure of big, bold eyes in the 1960's, want eyes like hers? Just read on!
After searching around for the perfect pair of false eyelashes (believe me, it's not easy) I came across eyelashes from Kissed Lashes, an online store that sells a variety of eyelashes. And 'The Flirty One' is perfect for the vibrant 60's look!
They're even easy to apply! I just removed them from the packaging, applied adhesive glue on the back and placed them on my eyelid, and voila! Definitely my number one choice now when it comes to false eyelashes. If you head on over to their website, they also do their own tutorial on how to apply eyelashes and have both Twiggy and Elizabeth Taylor celebrity style posts!
The eyelashes are only £6.99 for 5 pairs in a pack!

To get the perfect Twiggy look, these images are a great how to...
1. Use liquid eyeliner to create a half circle from one side of the eye to the other on the crease of the eyelid.
2. Then use liquid eyeliner and apply a thin line above the top eyelash.
3. After that apply your Kissed Lashes eyelashes on to the top lash.
4. Then if you're feeling very outrageous and dedicated to the 60's look, the bottom lashes were a prominent feature of Twiggy's look. Apply liquid eyeliner as shown in the bottom photo.
Just remember, if you want the perfect 60's iconic eye makeup, it's all about the big eyes!
