Come fly with me

Let's fly, let's fly away.

I came across a few old photographs of air hostess' throughout the years, and I couldn't help but find their style and outfits amazing! So elegant and inspiring, the outfits these days are just too modern and don't have the same flare and flounce that vintage air hostess outfits hold. No wonder they are still recognised today..

Let's run away together...

A decade in Vogue

My new book I purchased from Amazon.co.uk a couple of days ago. The Sixties: A decade in Vogue. Absolute lovely read with some of the most amazing photographs that made Vogue arguably the no. 1 fashion magazine in the world.

So even if you're searching for the perfect book to enhance your inspiration or just a light read with delightful pictures for your enjoyment at the coffee table, I suggest you give this a browse.

Fashion in French Films

The style and colouring of old French films have always been an inspiration to me, especially in the early 60's where they captured the eccentric 'Parisian Chic' look that became so popular. With stars such as Catherine Deneuve, Anna Karina & Jean Seberg, the whole world became inspired by their fashion style and movement. Some wardrobe classics that surfaced from French chic were nautical striped t-shirts, oversized sunglasses, trench coats and the ever so famous pixie crop that arose from star Jean Seberg in film 'Breathless'.
Below are just a few of my favourite styles.

"Belle De Jour"

"A bout de souffle"

"Pierrot Le Fou"

"Une Femme est Une Femme"

New York blues

New York, New York. The city that never sleeps. And that's not a lie either! The best 5 days of my life were spent in this city, it's mind blowing even from miles away. To nurture my current mood, which I call New York blues, I have selected my favourite old photos of the amazing city. One of the major fashion capitals of the world, differing from in trend to out of their mind. Also home to Broadway, where movie stars through the years have the dream of seeing their names light up.
