You had me at polka dot

the prettiest photos in the cutest polka dots

Wow! This dress; I need.

Polka dot galore in the sunshine.

The perfect Jean Shrimpton modelling the unusual hat fashion in the 1960's.

The cutest tights in the world!

A huge weakness of mine, polka dot vintage inspired swimwear.

I'd wear this dress to death if I was lucky enough to own it.

1960's paper dolls

Paper doll fashion from a 60's magazine article. I'd quite happily spend £100 on this wardrobe! Remember paper dolls in the 90's?! Although they were animated and you could dress them up. I need them back...

Pretty thing

So many adorable dresses in one photo! The sixties is definitely my favourite era for fashion.

A-Z of 60s fashion

"Charade"

"Charade" is a 1963 romantic comedy starring Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. Set in Paris, a women is chased by several men who desire her late husband's fortunes. I loved the film personally, but one thing that stood out to me was Audrey Hepburn's style! I think she looks amazing in every film she appears in. But this film is a certain one that stands out to me.

Her hair is a personal favourite of mine in this film!

And her coats and hat selection are absolutely wonderful!

Audrey always seems to bring a 1950's Parisian style to her clothing which I just absolutely adore.

What I'm loving this week

The fact that I bought this perfect one piece for only £18! Now, just need some sun...
swimsuit

This vintage Vogue cover.

I cannot stop staring at this dress. The colours, the patterns, the scarf tie. It's almost to good to be true.

Polka dots galore! They make every outfit that much cuter, I have such a weakness for them.

Model Jean Shrimpton, the face of the 1960's!

This photo of George Harrison. Actually, all photos of him. Not even just this week. All day, every day, every where. I think you got the point...

My favourite style icon: Pattie Boyd

If someone asked me which icon do I admire most my answer would always be Pattie Boyd.

Pattie Boyd was born on March 17th, 1944 and is most well known for her marriages to George Harrison and Eric Clapton, and also being the muse to some of their songs. I think her style is flawless and I tend to base mine on hers daily. I think Pattie's style is classic 60's; all the must-haves of the era without the harsh mod lines, which is so easy to be influenced into today's modern style. That is why I love it so much!

This is my absolute favourite of her; I want her hair! Her iconic hair is her full fringe which lies just below her eyebrows, and her teased crown (which she wore almost everywhere, especially in the early 60's)

These two dresses make me want to cry, they're so perfect! Shift dresses were hugely popular in the 1960's and she always pulled them off. Pattie mostly wore a short shift dress and cute little block heeled pumps.

Pattie always looked as if she could just roll out of bed and still look great! Oh, how I envy her. Her book is also an interesting read too, if you're a huge Beatles fan like me, it's a must!

These two are adorable. he's another reason I wish I was Pattie!

Here comes the sun

I doubt that anytime soon! It's April yet I'm sure the weather thinks it is still January?! Come on sun, we want you now. But for the time being, I'll have to just drool over how cute these are. I always find myself wanting to cry whenever I see pictures of vintage and vintage inspired swimwear. Look how cute they are!

And even the modern ones make me want to spend all my money on them, despite the fact that sun doesn't exist right now...

I mean, who wouldn't want to wear them? I know I could quite happily own each piece of swimwear back then!
