What time is it? Time to get a watch

Only 10 weeks till Christmas Day, can you believe it? And I've already started my Christmas list. One thing I really want this year is a lovely new watch, preferably a tan and gold wide faced one. I searched on eBay, Amazon, Swarovski, Watch Shop and many more but couldn't come across one that attracted me in any way. But then I found Olivia Burton's beautiful selection of dazzling watches. Their collection is inspired by Vintage design and bursting full of British Style. The brand began with duo Lesa Bennett and Jemma Fennings, when both students of London College of Fashion met and created this distinctive and contemporary brand. The designs are so adorable I thought I'd share them with all you lovely lot.


Big Dial White and Gold - £75
Simple yet so important. Statement watches are on the top of every fashionista's wish list. And this one is so perfect with its vintage inspired design, the white and gold contrast works perfect together.


Colour Crush Mint watch - £55
These cute little mini watches are perfect to experiment in all sorts of different colours. If the big watches are too big, then these are just for you!


Flower Show Watercolour and Tan - £75
Perfect little autumnal style watch that goes superb with the seasons trends and colours. There are a wide range of watches with a variety of butterflies, birds and autumn blooms on the face. How cute are they though!


Palour Floral Navy - £80
These exact designs were inspired by unique vintage compacts. And I really love the blue against the beautiful watch face print design. Perfect to match the floral trends that are covering the catwalks this season.


Modern Vintage Dot Design Tan and Gold - £65
My personal favourite (and what I've asked for for Christmas) I love the simplicity of this design and the mini dot design in the background of the watch face. This watch combines vintage style with modern design so I definitely have met my match!

Dear Creatures

There I was just wandering through tumblr, and I saw some of the most prettiest photographs. I was almost convinced they were 'vintage' adverts or something, but as I clicked on them I noticed they were too good quality to be old. They were actually promotional photos for an online clothing shop called 'Dear Creatures.' Dear Creatures was created by husband and wife duo Rob and Bianca Sinclair, and oh my god the clothes are so adorable!! They have created a little dream shop that not only sells a contemporary twist on modern fashion today, but also adds a throwback to 60's style pieces that we all love and crave. 

These photographs are from the collection Autumn 2013, which is my favourite out of all the others (which makes me sad that it was a year ago, and i've only discovered it this year.) It definately brings the 60's into perspective, they remind me of Jean Shrimpton's photographs when she and David Bailey travelled over to New York with Vogue magazine. The model in the photographs is Annie Monroe - who actually was in girl group 'The Like' a 60's styled music girl group from America.

"Mrs Biggs"

I've recently just started watching ITV drama series "Mrs Biggs" on the new channel ITV encore, and good god I'm hooked! The series stars Sheridan Smith who plays Charmain Biggs and Daniel Mays who stars as Ronnie Biggs, the Great Train Robber and the true story of the ups and downs of their lives on the run. Set in the 1960's, the Great Train Robbery is one of the most famous crimes in British history. I'm more than half the way through the series, having just watched episode 3 out of 5, and find it very entertaining! I do love a good ITV drama.

Feline frenzy

The suns out (occasionally) but at least its out for longer than a couple of hours, so that gives you an excuse for HOLIDAY SHOPPING! And a must have on the checklist is always sunglasses, and why not go retro with 'Cat eye' sunglasses, a major key look in the 1950's, just watch Grease! Or just watch Breakfast at Tiffany's and copy Holly Golighty's look. So whilst skimming for my own holiday clothes (can't be helped) I found some lovely, affordable sunglasses just for you, all to be bought on the good ol' high street.
